My work was just accepted into a show in North Carolina. There were 428 entries and only 55 accepted works. So I was pretty pumped that I got into this show. Well since its in NC I am going to ship the work instead of making the 12 hour drive. This is the box that I had made for the shipping. It was done here by Jacks Framing, a local frame shop that does a great job. He left me 3 inches all the way around to pack it up right. I hope that it survives the trip, but the way I packed it I doubt any harm can come its way.

This is my most recent commission work. Each work is the Ink and Resin on panels and they are 30x30. I think they look great as a group.

This is my most recent work. It is ink and resin on 8 4x4 panels. Each of these works is able to come off the board to be rotated or switched with another panel and place back on. This is putting the viewer in charge of how they want to perceive the artwork.

So this little project was something I thought about the other day when I went to start getting ready for school. I was setting all of my pencils, markers, color pencils, and everything else out on my desk when I wanted to also get my erasers out. And I came up with this idea for a place to have them displayed. Now after it is done I could also place many other things in the head besides erasers. Options are nice to have.
My art club also does a project with this Munny toy from Kidrobot. http://artatmassac.blogspot.com/2012/02/kidrobot-with-8th-grade.html
So for my last day of summer vacation I made this for me desk at work.
I had gotten this far and was pretty happy with the work. Then I started thinking why does a kid have his head cut off? SO I scraped the idea and made it a zombie instead because it is more logical that a zombie would have his head opened then a regular person.

So the last day or so I have been working on a commission for a friend here in Paducah. Each year he has this band Dev&Doug from Louisville come and play at a party he holds annually. And each year he has commissioned me to make a painting for the show and at the show he gives the band the painting and also makes copies for his guests like a concert poster of that years party. This year we talked about going with a stormtrooper theme. These are my sketches for the to be painting.

Here is a painting I recently did for a Coen Brothers inspired art show. I call it Roster Lebowski and I also have included another painting of the recent Ink and Resin.
