For the past 3 months or so I have been working on a commission piece, or should I say Pieces. All of these works are 17x30 on wood pannels with acrylic and pencil. Enjoy

Nashville
I am now displaying my work in Nashville at Studio 83 in the Arcade Building. These are pictures of the wall that I have and some new work that went up. I know there is a repeat of a picture. I have been playing around at home with what type of paper can hold up to the Poly and still keep an Image sharp and clear. One of the first walls you see when you walk into the gallery.

Something New
I started working on these paintings last week. I'm exploring working with mixed media for the first time. These paintings are made with Charchoal, Graphite, Color Pencils, Oil Pastels, Watercolor, and Polyurethane on wood panels. I found the inspiration for these works through one of my brothers paintings. I was curious on how Poly effects charchoal and I wanted to experiment with adding the collage element to the paintings by adding pictures and drawing to the surface and then adding Poly to see how each media reacts to the Poly. So this is going to be the first of many experiments with this new found Mixed Media art. Enjoy! 30x 16 3/4

LowerTown Art and Music Festival
This weekend was the Lowertown Art and Music Festival in Paducah. Josh Comley and I had a booth so that we could demonstrate our art. We had the prime location to do this demostration. As you can see in the background there is a Texaco Station. Well thats the center of the festival and right across from us was the main stage for the music. So we had a lot of people come by and see what we were doing. We used doors as our canvas and hung them on the best makeshift easle ever essembled. And this is pretty much the progression through the day and into the night.
This is the time I took a break and hid my camera so that nobody would steal it. Thankfully that did not happen but I didnt take another picture till it was done. IF you look closely at the skull in the middle you will notice that its actually full of faces, So there is some details to the picture besides it just being a giant skull on clouds.
This whole work of art was done with just Spray Paint and markers.

April '09 art show
So for my art show this year I teamed up with my friend Joshua Comley and did a duel show. We used the old Elk's Lodge, witch is now a tea room named Serinatea. The upstairs in the old lodge had a Ballroom which we converted into our gallery. Needless to say I enjoy doing things off the cuff and this was a show that was defently off the cuff. In the center of the room we had a interactive paint sclupture that people were encouraged to paint on, we had the best food this town had to offer which was Kirchhoff's Bakery, we had to DJ's, Schaffly Beer, and affordable artwork. We also had our mural from the music and art day cut up and hung on the back wall. All in all it was the best show this town has seen in a long time. More pictures are coming I promise.
